Found a great paper debunking many of the myths that was used by the government in taking unprecedented action to avoid a depression.

Have fun being pissed off, like myself, that we were all snookered by Paulson, Bernanke, Bush, and Congress.

I actually was opposed to the bailout from the beginning and I have a lot more thoughts on the whole deal. Perhaps I'll post about them when I'm not at work....

I can say without a doubt I know where the money went. That movie looked fantastic. While all the actors were below the normal 20 mil/movie type actors, everyone did a great job. I was really impressed with their delivery. Normally, I'd expect a few groaners or even an ouch or two to some cheesy line, but I can't think of a single line right now that made me do that. The script could have used a little work to make the scenes flow together better. I'm guessing the full script probably worked a little better. They just had to cut stuff to get it down to under 2.5 hours. Hopefully, they come out with an extended edition.

Can't wait for the sequel....

It will take a while to watch, but it brings convincing arguments as to why the Fed causes inflation, huge government spending, and the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer in the this country. It amazes me how good of a sell job the Fed has done to convince most American's (myself included) that it is there to bring stability to our country's economy, when in fact it does just the opposite.

Lately, I've had trouble with gmail not responding to me clicking on messages in my inbox. The "loading" icon appears in the upper right hand corner, but nothing every comes up. Not all the messages are like this. From what I can tell only some of the most recent messages do this as well as try to compose a new message. Any one else getting this?

So I hope this whole terrorist in Britain thing doesn't screw up my travel plans too much. My flight leaves Sunday morning. I'm going to call the airline to make sure I know what's going on. I hear that you can bring next to nothing on the flights now. Normal carry-on items will have to be checked, including laptops. Also, you can't bring any beverages, excluding formula and breast milk and prescription drugs. You can't even bring drinks bought in the terminal on board.

Isn't it just like a selfish american prick to think only of my travel delays instead of the diverted terror plot that could have killed hundreds (possibly thousands) of people. So I'll give a shout out to the CIA and MI5 for being on the ball on this one. Yea to the spies!

You will get a ticket like me. In fact, they used a camera to photograph the car, so they gave me two tickets: one yesterday for 65 in a 50 and one this morning for 68 in a 50. In 9 years of driving in the states I've never had one ticket and only been pulled over once.

Luckily it won't affect my driving record.

Yes, that's right. I trucked up two hillsides to see some old stones. I have pictures on my phone, so if I ever get a usb cable for it I'll post them.
